Amy has always loved science fiction—books, movies, shows, and games. She was born in San Diego, California, and moved with her family to Vancouver, Washington, at the age of seven. After devouring some of the classics like Dune and Ender's Game in her tween years, she began writing science fiction and fantasy short stories.

In the ensuing years, Amy attended the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, where she continued to study creative writing, visual art and played viola in the school orchestra. During this time, she began the very early sketches of what would eventually evolve into the Cadicle series.

Amy received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Portland State University, and also pursued minors in Professional Writing and Business Administration. After graduating, she moved to Portland, Oregon, and began working in business development for an energy efficiency consulting firm. Over the next several years, she primarily wrote proposals to prospective utility clients and managed the proposal development process. She then transitioned from energy efficiency into the architectural, engineering and planning industry. However, she eventually succumbed to the writing bug.

Now a full-time author, Amy currently lives in Portland, Oregon, with her husband. When she's not writing, she enjoys travel, wine tasting, binge-watching TV series, and playing epic strategy board games.

ABOUT THE BOOK

Kira’s nemeses are back, and they’re after her home.

Captain Kira Elsar is adjusting to her new Robus abilities, but a series of strange attacks on the Tararian Guard’s computer network throw her life into chaos.

A planet-sized ship appears out of nowhere, and it’s heading straight for Kira’s home system. With the lives of everyone in the Elvar Trinary—and Taran Empire—at stake, Kira embarks on a daring mission to stop the massive ship before it can attack.

Conventional weapons aren’t enough to take down the alien vessel. Kira alone has the necessary abilities to defeat the Trols. This time it may be a one-way mission.

PLOT SYNOPSIS - Endgame (Mindspace Book 4)

A month after being transformed into an alien-hybrid Robus via experimental nanotech, Captain Kira Elsar is back in the field leading routine covert ops missions with her team. However, when the latest mission goes sideways, Kira’s faith in herself is shaken.

The Guard begins experiencing strange computer malfunctions, and samples of the alien material begin coming to life. Upon investigation, they discover that a massive planet-sized ship is headed for the Elvar Trinary, and it appears to be a Trol vessel.

The Guard realizes that the aliens intend to make a play for the Taran central worlds. With the mounting threat, the Guard calls on the TSS to send their top warship, the TSS Conquest, to dispatch of the enemy if they are unable to open a productive line of communication. Kira travels to the intercept site with Colonel Kaen.

Ellen begins to deploy fortifications to the planets in the Elvar Trinary, but it’s unclear if it will offer enough protection. Still, she needs to do what she can to protect her people, stepping up as a leader when no one else will fill the power void.

On the Conquest, Kira meets TSS Agent Jason Sietinen, a prodigy with exceptional telekinetic abilities. He uses the special telekinetic weapon on the Conquest, which should easily destroy the enemy vessel, but it does absolutely nothing. They suspect that there’s some kind of shield that will need to be disabled. Kira volunteers to use her unique abilities to go on board.

Kira and her team come up with a plan for her to infiltrate the alien vessel and access the shield systems. They devise a way to keep the Trol nanotech from getting a hold of her while she’s on the ship, and she practices her Robus form transformations through a little sparring with Jason to hone her skills.

As the situation grows dire, Kira embarks on the dangerous mission to board the planet-ship. With Jasmine helping Kira control her transformations, she fights her way inside to a central point where she’s able to hack into the control systems. She talks with the Trols’ collective consciousness and feels their intentions of hurting and destroying. They need to be stopped.

With the hack in place, Kira flees the planet-ship. The moment Kira is clear, her team disables the shield for long enough that Jason can destroy it with the Conquest’s weapon.

Another alien presence appears in Kira’s mind, and she realizes that the Trols they had encountered were a divergent branch of the race. The first Trols fed on negative energy, but the others are the opposite. Not everything out there in the universe is bad.

Peace is restored, and everyone can get on with their lives. Ellen becomes the new governor on Valta. Kira is promoted to Major, and her team members all get promotions. It will mean them splitting up, but everyone has bright futures. Leon will be at Kira’s side, and they can tackle anything together.
