When a troubled teenage girl from Earth is conscripted into the galactic military, she must prove herself and become a leader to help win a secret war against a ruthless alien enemy.

Cadicle is a sprawling Young Adult sci-fi epic.

Saera is social outcast in high school when she learns modern Earth is a rogue colony of the galaxy-spanning Taran Empire.

She leaves her world behind to join the TSS, a branch of the galactic military known for training those with “Gifts”— latent telepathic and telekinetic abilities.

A chance meeting with Wil, a brilliant but tortured young man being groomed as the TSS’s next great leader, places Saera at the heart of a generations-old war that’s being secretly fought inside a dimensional rift.

Saera and Wil’s partnership is the key to winning the war, but they soon learn that enemies aren’t always who they seem.

Cadicle is a family drama set against the backdrop of a brewing galactic war against a mysterious alien enemy

The Enemy has attacked.

Unbeknownst to the general public, the Taran Empire has been on the losing side of a war with a mysterious alien enemy for centuries. The battles have been raging inside a hidden spatial Rift, but the Bakzen are now forcing their way out. The illusion of peace is about to shatter.

SAERA ALEXANDER, 17, a teenaged girl with a haunted past from modern Earth, enrolls in the TSS Academy, where she will learn to harness her latent telekinetic powers. Headstrong and determined, she resolves to become a Commander in the TSS but faces one overwhelming obstacle: she is from Earth, the "lost colony" of the Taran Empire considered a backwater of dangerous savages. She must prove to her squad that she belongs, but most importantly she must prove it to herself.

Meanwhile, WIL SIETINEN, 17, a brilliant young man with extraordinarily powerful telekinetic abilities works tirelessly on a prototype engine that may help turn the tides of the upcoming war. Although he is emotionally, physically, and spiritually exhausted, he presses on, shouldering the weight of responsibility because that is what he was born to do. He is the Cadicle, the prophesied savior of the universe. A being of untold power. A living weapon. A kid who is starting to crack under the pressure of his extraordinary duty.

Following a chance meeting, Wil and Saera share an instant connection and soon form a deep bond. They are somehow stronger together, finding fortitude and courage in the face of staggering odds.

But the Bakzen aren't their only threat. Shadowy syndicates have seized the opportunity to grow their power and influence. Ancient dynasties move their political pawns to further their machinations. Traitors and spies have embedded themselves deep within the TSS, waiting for their moment to strike. Both Wil and Saera soon find themselves to be valuable commodities in this dangerous universe.

Cadicle is a coming-of-age story set against the backdrop of galactic war. More than space battles and political intrigue, it is a family drama where generations of characters must overcome their insecurities and traumatic pasts in order to grow into the leaders and heroes they were destined to be.

As centuries of lies and corruption are exposed, eventually our heroes face a dark truth...

Is this destiny or manipulation?

Cadicle is based on the internationally bestselling book series by USA Today bestselling and Nebula-nominated author A.K. DuBoff, beginning with Volume Three (Bonds of Resolve) in the seven-volume series.
